Meet Sergio Santos

I had the absolute pleasure of connecting with Sergio Santos recently and we’ve shared our conversation below.

What are you most passionate about?

Life & Love.

How did your loved ones react to you wanting to pursue a creative career?

There was not a lot of support but the ones who believed in me kept me going, every time I wanted to check out the game they pushed me back in.

How do you deal with creative block?

I go into nature, hit museums, and watch award-winning movies. Don't underestimate your time with loved ones either.

How did you figure out that you were creative?

From a young age, when my grandmother and mother told me that I had a gift for storytelling.

What's your favorite quote?

So many: "Life is meant to be lived, life not gon live itself" "If you do what you always did you will get what you always got" and “I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail nonetheless" "The moment you give up, is the moment you let someone else win."

What's one piece of advice you'd give to 21 year old you?

Go buy a camera and capture moments, fuck sneakers.

What do you see as the future of your respective role?

Branding and agency work.

Where are you playing it safe right now?

I'm not. I'm getting out of my way and channeling my inner black mamba.
